Join RPCVLA for an unforgettable night under the stars as we enjoy Doctor Faustus at the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival!
In Marlowe’s playful yet soul-stirring tale, a mysterious scholar makes a deal with the devil to master the dark arts — but when you play with fire, there’s hell to pay. This satirical, seductive thrill ride explores ambition, temptation, and the ultimate cost of unchecked ego.
When & Where
We’ll gather at The Dell in the Old Zoo at Griffith Park — just up the hill from our usual spot on the main lawn. Look for our RPCVLA banner and check social media for updates. We usually sit stage left. Please RSVP so we know how much space to save! Come early to picnic and socialize. Show starts at 7:00 pm
What to Bring
Low chair or blanket, sweater (it gets chilly after sunset), and your favorite snacks — there are no concessions this season. Bug spray, sunscreen, and a flashlight can also come in handy.
Parking
Ample free parking is near the Merry-Go-Round, with Lot 2 being closest to the performance site (note: it’s a bit of an uphill walk). If you need mobility assistance, call 818-710-6306 in advance.
